Are you excited by machine embroidery and wondering how to create your own designs? What is digitizing, anyway?
In this class I'll show you the basics of going from a picture of a design to a file that is ready to stitch out on your machine. I'll cover which software programs I use, how to edit designs, and how to avoid common errors. If you have questions that aren't covered in the course, I'm happy to answer your questions via the comments. You can also join my Facebook group, exclusively for my embroidery students, where you can also reach out to the student community to find the answers you need.
This is a beginner-level overview of digitizing for machine embroidery. At the end of this class, you should understand the basics of the process, common mistakes, and have resources to get started on your own projects.
Denise has been involved in reenactment and costuming for over 20 years. In 2014, she launched a line of historically inspired machine embroidery designs in order to help other costumers bring the beauty of period embroidery to their own projects.
