This class focuses on new styles of puffs, fringes, flowers, and other embellishments to create truly unique period trims.
In this class...
You will learn to make an exciting assortment of additional embellishments that can be added to both puffed and woven trims, or used on their own.
This class assumes you already know the basics of making knotted fringes, or "fly fringe," from the Basics class or in-person classes. Those topics are not covered again in this class.
This class covers extra embellishment details found on extant gowns and stomachers. Learn how to tie knots to resemble tiny flower buds as well as create lush rosettes out of silk thread, plus create tassels and other elements. Lessons include 9 new styles of embellishments that can be included in your trims, plus two styles of tassels. All are based on extant examples linked in the lessons.
